Currier Hosts RIT Packaging Science Students for an Industry Insight Tour

At Currier, we are committed to fostering the next generation of packaging professionals. That’s why we were thrilled to welcome students from RIT’s Packaging Science program to our facility. This visit was made possible through our strong relationship with TricorBraun and the efforts of Jon Paul Genest (JP), a longtime client, friend, and advocate for industry education. JP is teaching a rigid container class at RIT in Rochester, and as part of their course, the students made the trip to see real-world applications of what they are learning.

We are also proud to support JP in his recent appointment to the Industry Advisory Board at RIT, where he aims to rejuvenate and elevate the Packaging Science Department. We look forward to collaborating with him and continuing our support for RIT students in their education and career development.

Our team worked hard to create an engaging and educational experience for the students as part of TricorBraun’s University Outreach program. The visit gave these budding professionals an invaluable opportunity to witness the operations of a leading molder in the industry. Our engineers led two tour groups, providing students with a real-time look at our operations, answering their questions, and helping them connect classroom theories with real-world applications.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed to making this day a success. Hosting the next generation of packaging professionals is an honor, and we look forward to welcoming more students in the future. By investing in education and industry collaboration, we are strengthening our workforce and driving innovation in the packaging industry.
